Opening CSVs in Excel: Use Data → From Text/CSV and import all columns ending in _us as Text before loading, to preserve every microsecond digit. Changing the format after opening cannot restore lost digits. Use the AEST and Excel date columns for display, and keep the original download for precise analysis.

Frequency histograms count original observations; RoCoF histograms count eligible 1-second rate estimates. Bins are centred on 50 Hz, 0 mHz deviation or 0 mHz/s RoCoF. Missing measurements are not zero-valued observations.

RoCoF shows signed [f(t) − f(t − 1 s)] / 1 s at recorded timestamps, in mHz/s. The earlier frequency is linearly interpolated from original readings. Windows crossing gaps, invalid readings, duplicate timestamps, sequence breaks or timing discontinuities are excluded. Both ends must be within the selected period. No extra averaging is applied; this does not resolve subsecond peak RoCoF.
